Records the building number assigned by the municipality/local authority or given during census numbering. It anchors every census house and household to a physical structure and underpins the houselisting frame used for Phase 2.

It anchors every census house and household to a physical structure and underpins the houselisting frame used for Phase 2. Same concept as Census 2011's houselisting item 1. In 2027 this operates alongside digitally created Houselisting Blocks (the HLB Creator satellite-imagery mapping tool used by Charge Officers).
